Welcome to my website! This is a collection of projects and experiences that I’ve enjoyed.

I’m interested in understanding and addressing the drivers of health inequality in the United States and globally, as well as evaluating policies designed to improve public health. With my background as a CDC-trained data scientist, I’ve explored the impacts of healthcare costs, racial disparities, and food insecurity through over 50 peer-reviewed reports in leading journals such as The Lancet, Health Affairs, Academic Medicine, and JAMA Network. My work has been supported by 19 grants totaling over $120,000 and been featured in Wall Street Journal, CNN, USA Today, and U.S. News & World Report.

As a member of the board of directors of the Penn Homeless Outreach Project, I help run Penn’s street medicine clinic and provide medical care, food, and other assistance to people experiencing homelessness in Philadelphia. I founded and direct the Medical Literacy and Access Project, which provides search tools in different languages for immigrant and low-income patients to find free clinics, federally-qualified health centers and physicians who speak their language. I was elected and served on the Governing Council of the Texas Public Health Association in 2022-2023.

I proposed, wrote, and unanimously passed legislation against race-based hate crimes in the Texas House of Representatives, receiving a commendation for public service from the Texas Legislature. I now serve as a legislative consultant for the Pennsylvania General Assembly on bipartisan legislation to regulate the usage of artificial intelligence in health insurance utilization reviews. I’m completing a fellowship focusing on price and quality transparency for hospitals with Dr. Douglas Jacobs, Chief Transformation Officer at Medicare. I helped conduct legislative advocacy workshops for the Rhode Island Public Health Association and teach Penn Medicine’s legislative advocacy course.

My academic journey began at Brown University, where I graduated with a Bachelor of Science with honors in Neurobiology and Health Systems and Policy. I was named a Harry S. Truman Scholar and recognized on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives.

Outside of school, you can find me jogging in city parks or calling & catching up with my friends. If you share any of my interests, I’d love to chat!
